Evtushenko Sergey Nikolaevitch

Was born in Leningrad 5 September 1957.

Composer, the member of Composers Union of Russia (1990).

Professor of St. Petersburg Conservatoire and Special Music School (1984 - 1988).

1990-2006 director of "Camerata St. Petersburg Orchestra" ( since 1994 - the Orchestra of the State Hermitage Museum).

Since 1997 Director of the Hermitage Music Academy Charity Foundation.

Since 2001 - the Artistic Director of the Hermitage Music Academy Program and Music International Festivals in the State Hermitage Museum (The Musical Hermitage and Music of the Great Hermitage).

Author of music for "Russian Ark" movie (Director - Alexandr Sokurov) 2002, Two concertos for flute and orchestra (1985 and 2005), concerto for viola and orchestra (1987), concerto for trumpet and orchestra (2005), chamber orchestra suite "Seasons" (2004), Cantatas for orchestra and choir, songs, romances.

His soundtrack for Russian-Finish co-production movie 'The Border 1918' (2008) was nominated for Jussi award by Cinema Academy of Finland.

In February 2009 Sergey Yevtushenko fulfilled record of his music for a new feature film by Michael Hoffman starring Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer about the last year of great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy.

He's also performing as a pianist-improvisator.
